Kaws, the stage name’s Braian Donnelly is a pop and street artist, he was born 1974 in New Jersey. He became very famous because he done many important collaboration for example: Dior, Nike, Jordan, Supreme, Disney.

He start his career in 90’s in the suburbs’s NY making graffiti on the billboards, on the train, on the wall. In 1999 with the company “Bounty hunters” (that product figures and designer toys) start to product his “Companion”, the name of his designer toys, that will become very famous . In 2001 he coopereted with the photographer David Sims (very famous fashion photographer) and done a picture that became very popular infact Supreme done a T-shirt.

After he started to do paintings were he drew pop print for example: Spongebob, Simpsons, Smorfs, Mickey Mouse and the Peanuts; these pop prints will highlight his style.

In 2006 he opened his first store in Tokyo were he sold for a first time his brand: “Original Fake” with this store he became very popular and in 2007 he done many collaboration, for exaple with Bape, Comme des garçon and with Trek (very big company’s bike). With Trek he done a bike which was sold a charity auction for 200.000$. In the same year he done many cover for Vogue infact in this year he started to work with fashion design for example James Jebbia (Supreme) or Nigo (Bape, Uniqlo), with the last one done many collaboration because they are very friends infact in 2006 they done a limited designer toys together now that designer toys had a hight resell.

After 2006 he done many collaboration for example with Jordan, Undercover and Vans but the most curios is with Dior because he done two puppets dressed with Dior clothes that had a very hight resell, clic on link.

The last year he decided to take part at Hong Kong Arts Month with his Companion, but he decided to enlarge it infact from 21,6 cm it became 37 m, he decided to use this Companion:

because it is the the most relaxed Companion and because he want to said that relax is good; this had many success infact he done many other “big Companion” all over the biggest city of the word.

Kaws is very intelligent because he was started his work in the suburbs’s NY and after 20 years his works you can find in all of the biggest pop art museum of the USA: the Miami art basell, the MCA of Chigago.

In this Coronavirus’ period he has decide to sell his most popular and expensive pop print at lower price; all proceeds he decided to give all to Coronavirus’ research

It is two years that I think to do all my bedroom with Companion or his works, but the problem is that the cheapest Companion cost ONLY 175€ and it is tall 15 cm and to furnish all my bedroom I need at least 10… it is many expensive.
